Earlier in the day - highest I've ever seen it. Nothing compared to what was to follow. The tuft of light green creeper, center-distance of shot, will be struggling to stay above the water level.
Local single track
Later in the day it looked more like the Murrumbidgee!
From the southern side of the valley, you shoot through the tunnel, hard LHT, slow sweeping RHT then hit a sharp LHT before the fast run down to the bottom. Just before bottoming out the track arcs right after which the concrete bridge (first crossing, before the weir itself, 50 meters later) comes into view. The picnic table is on the RHS about 50 meters before the concrete bridge (which was well under water).
Crikey, that's a long way up the track. Crazy to think that much water was pouring through the area. Hope nothing valuable got washed away. Some stunning pics of the horrible weather in Sydney in the media over here.
Great vid Dave, I'm racking my memory for where that table is in relation to the top of the track?
